Ami Blachowiak started her creative career in 1990 when she was approached by the editor of her university’s newspaper. He read her work in a writing class and was so impressed that he asked for a meeting with Ami. He gave her two CDs to review. Always having been a music fan, Ami was hooked. She loved the free CDs and concert tickets, and eventually her focus became band interviews. Her portfolio includes in-depth interviews with hundreds of bands and some unforgettable backstage moments!

Ami began working at the premier venue for live entertainment in Milwaukee. There she established several contacts and learned the importance of maintaining professional relationships. She soon landed a managerial position at an ad agency. Her client was a Fortune 100 company and Ami managed their entertainment-related events. Her responsibilities included concert production, contract negotiation, sponsorships, on-site event management, branding and positioning, sampling and promotions. This position afforded Ami the opportunity to work with artists such as Busta Rhymes, Pat Green, Incubus, Ludacris, Jonny Lang, David Lee Garza, Goo Goo Dolls and Cypress Hill.

Ami currently resides in Los Angeles, where she manages a variety of events for clients including Nike, Disney, Toyota, and MTV. When not mulling over the task at hand, Ami can be found checking out live music, trying the next Pilates move or walking her dog on Sunset Strip.
